What this site saves, which services receive requests, and how to clear your information.

This policy covers the current MealWhirl website. Questions or privacy requests can be sent to the site operator at mehoo1688@gmail.com. MealWhirl is the public name of this independently operated site.

1. Information saved in your browser

The meal tool saves the following information in this browser’s local storage. The site’s meal-selection code does not upload these choices to a MealWhirl account or database.

These entries generally remain until you clear them or your browser removes site data. Clearing one browser does not clear another device. Private-browsing modes and browser storage restrictions may limit these features. Avoid putting sensitive personal information into custom meal names.

2. Cookies and similar technologies

Local storage is different from a cookie: it is read by the website in your browser and is not automatically attached to every web request. MealWhirl’s own meal-picker code does not set advertising or analytics cookies.

This public website is hosted on a self-managed Hostinger VPS. Browsing recipes does not require a MealWhirl account or a hosting-platform login. The meal-picker code does not set analytics or advertising cookies.

You can inspect, delete, or block cookies and site storage in your browser’s privacy settings. Blocking local storage prevents choices from being remembered.

3. Advertising and analytics

This version does not display ads, run Google AdSense, or include advertising pixels or analytics scripts. There are no MealWhirl advertising cookies or personalized-ad settings to opt out of in this version. The site does not send your saved meal choices to an advertising network.

If advertising or analytics is introduced, this policy and the relevant user choices must be updated before those features are enabled. This policy does not describe an advertising integration that is not currently present.

4. Third-party services and ordinary connection data

• Hosting and access: this website is served from a self-managed Hostinger VPS. The server and hosting infrastructure process ordinary connection data, including IP address, requested page, browser information, and request time, to deliver the website and maintain operational and security logs. • Google Fonts: the site requests font styles and font files from Google. Those requests share connection information such as an IP address, browser request details, and referring-site information with Google. See Google’s privacy policy and Google Fonts information.
• Photographs: food and destination photos are served with this website. Browsing a recipe does not require loading its photograph from Wikimedia Commons or the photographer’s website. Visiting an external attribution or source link takes you to that provider, whose own practices then apply.
• Email: if you email the contact address, your email provider and the receiving mail provider process your message. The operator receives the address, message, and any attachments you choose to send in order to respond. The listed address is hosted by Gmail; Google’s policy applies to that service.

Provider processing may take place in countries other than your own. The site operator does not control providers’ independent retention schedules. The linked policies describe their practices; MealWhirl does not promise a fixed retention period for their service logs.

5. Clearing information and opting out

1. Clear MealWhirl choices: use the button below to remove the five local-storage entries listed above. This removes favorites, recent decisions, pantry selections, menu edits, and meal times from this browser.
2. Stop choices being remembered: block storage for this site in your browser’s site settings. The tool can still make a selection when storage is unavailable, but saved features will not persist.
3. Control site storage: use your browser’s cookie and site-data settings. Clearing saved MealWhirl preferences does not delete server or hosting-provider logs.
4. Limit remote-font requests: a browser content blocker can block Google Fonts domains. The site has system-font fallbacks; typography may change.
5. Advertising choices: no advertising service is currently active here. If one is added, its applicable consent and opt-out controls must be explained at that time.
6. Email information: ask the site operator about access, correction, or deletion of information you have emailed. We cannot retrieve choices that exist only in your browser.

Your next interaction may create local preferences again unless you block site storage. To delete or manage Google account activity or advertising preferences outside this site, use your Google account controls.

6. Messages, retention, and security

Messages sent to the contact address are used to handle the inquiry and relevant follow-up, rather than to enroll you in a mailing list. If you want an earlier message removed, contact the same address. Email handling and any required retention depend on the circumstances of the request and applicable obligations.

HTTPS protects the connection when the site is accessed at its secure address. No website or email service can guarantee absolute security; please do not send passwords, identity documents, payment details, or detailed health information when asking for help with a recipe or site issue.

7. Changes to this policy

When the site’s information-handling features materially change, this page should be updated to reflect the actual services and controls in use. The update date appears at the top.
